Overview

The Manager, Cost Accounting at Nikkiso Cryogenic Industries will lead the cost accounting and financial reporting processes, ensuring timely financial information to support business decisions. This role involves close collaboration with operations and project management to drive performance and improve processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead month-end close activities related to cost accounting
  • Manage balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Oversee revenue recognition processes for long-term contracts
  • Monitor and analyze project financials and forecasts
  • Manage contract-related accounts, including unbilled and deferred revenue
  • Drive cost accounting activities and variance analysis
  • Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
  • Support budgeting and forecasting for projects and the company
  • Develop financial models for revenue, cost, and cash flow projections
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards related to revenue recognition
  • Support audit processes related to revenue recognition and contract accounting
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies and enhance financial accuracy

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 7+ years of accounting/finance experience
  • Strong experience with POC/ASC 606 revenue recognition
  • Experience in project-based or long-term contract environments
  • Solid understanding of cost accounting and margin analysis
  • ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills

What the company offers

  • Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000, plus annual bonus structure
