Overview

At KPMG, a leading tax firm, you will play a critical role in their Business Tax Services practice, particularly in the real estate sector. The position involves managing a diverse portfolio of real estate clients, providing high-quality tax service and advice, and leading cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of real estate clients and act as the main contact for internal and external clients.
  • Build and maintain client relationships by providing advisory services.
  • Oversee the financial performance of client engagements, including billing, collections, and project budgets.
  • Participate in market and business activities to support practice growth.
  • Manage and mentor tax professionals and assistants on client projects.

Required skills

  • Minimum five years of experience as a tax manager in public accounting.
  • Partnership tax experience in financial services, specifically real estate and private equity funds.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed CPA, JD/LLM, or EA.
  • Proficiency in taxation of REITs, partnerships, and other flow-through entities.
  • Exceptional skills in reviewing 1120-REIT and 1065 tax returns.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
