KPMG is seeking a Manager for their Business Tax Services practice in Chicago, focusing on the alternative investment fund industry. This role involves overseeing client portfolios, managing teams, and delivering high-quality tax services while collaborating with a diverse team to create innovative tax solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee client portfolios within the alternative investment fund industry
  • Act as the first point of contact for internal and external clients
  • Manage teams of tax professionals/assistants working on client projects
  • Assess tax impact on clients and develop tax arguments
  • Facilitate risk and financial performance of engagements
  • Deliver high-quality tax services to clients

Required skills

  • Minimum five years of recent tax experience in the alternative investment industry
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
  • Licensed CPA, EA, or JD/LLM
  • Proficient in the taxation of partnerships and tiered investment fund structures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
