Overview

The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for responding to guest repair requests and performing preventive maintenance on tools and equipment at Residence Inn by Marriott in Kihei, Hawaii. The role involves troubleshooting issues, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a safe and professional environment while providing guest service.

Key responsibilities

  • Respond to guest repair requests with little to no supervision
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
  • Communicate maintenance activities and problems to other shifts
  • Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on various types of equipment
  • Assist with surface preparation, painting, and minor repairs
  • Use Lockout/Tagout system during maintenance work
  • Train and mentor other engineers
  • Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds
  • Maintain adherence to company and safety policies
