Overview

The Maintenance Technician II at Marriott International is responsible for responding to guest repair requests and performing preventive maintenance on tools and equipment with minimal supervision. This role requires proficiency in various maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, while ensuring communication and adherence to safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
  • Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts as needed
  • Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts
  • Demonstrate proficiency in multiple maintenance categories
  • Troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment and systems
  • Assist with surface preparation and painting tasks
  • Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities and rounds
  • Train and mentor less experienced engineers
  • Follow safety, security, and company policies
