Overview

Description: The Stamping Machinery Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing large metal stamping presses and related production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and continuous equipment reliability while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. The technician will work with minimal supervision and collaborate closely with production teams to minimize downtime and support operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesPreventive MaintenancePerform routine inspections, lubrication, and maintenance on motors, drives, belts, pumps, conveyors, and stamping equipmentInspect fluid levels, replace filters, and identify wear or potential failures before breakdowns occurTroubleshooting, Repair and Documentation:Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues on large stamping presses ( tons)Repair machines and equipment using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical testing devicesAccess and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, and other material-handling equipmentAccurately document maintenance work, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance activitiesSafety & ComplianceMust follow all company safety policies and proceduresAdhere to OSHA requirements and ISO quality management standards during maintenance activitiesCollaboration & Support:Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment issuesAssist with new machine installations and process improvementsRespond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime Requirements: 2-4 years of previous experience in tool and dieStrong mechanical and electrical aptitudeWorking knowledge of:Hydraulics and pneumaticsElectrical systems and machine repairTechnical manuals, schematics, and drawingsQualifications Preferred2-3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentExperience with metal stamping equipment strongly preferredPLC controllers PIf33380a190bd-0759
