Overview

SSM Health is seeking a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist to join their team at the Saint Louis University Hospital. The role involves performing diagnostic medical imaging using MRI technology under the supervision of radiologists and department managers, while ensuring patient safety and producing quality imaging results.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform magnetic resonance imaging examinations and patient safety screenings.
  • Communicate technical information to patients and staff effectively.
  • Initiate venipuncture and document procedures per departmental guidelines.
  • Follow departmental policies, safety standards, and infection control measures.
  • Maintain proficiency in the utilization of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Provide emotional support to patients, focusing on service excellence.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and complete required documentation.
