Overview

Pelican Brewing Company is seeking hourly Cooks to join the team at their new Tap Room in Rockaway Beach. Ideal candidates will have kitchen experience and a passion for good food, contributing to a fun and fast-paced atmosphere while meeting the Pelican standard for exceptional meals.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service and understanding of Pelican menu items
  • Cook and plate dishes following proper procedures
  • Adapt to menu changes and understand kitchen processes
  • Maintain a safe and clean workstation
  • Communicate effectively about ticket issues and menu changes
  • Assist other service personnel as needed
  • Learn and perform line procedures and recipes

Required skills

  • Two years of Back of House experience
  • Valid Food Handler's Card
  • Ability to read recipes and operate Kitchen Software Displays
  • Physical endurance to work on your feet for 8 hours
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Understanding of Food Safety and cleanliness procedures
  • Positive attitude and willingness to take direction
