Overview

The Legal Recruiting Manager at Reed Smith LLP is responsible for overseeing the recruitment and integration of lateral associates and law students in the Dallas and Denver offices. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance recruitment processes, manage the summer associate program, and ensure seamless attorney integration while analyzing market trends in legal recruiting.

Key responsibilities

  • Direct and manage lateral associate and law student recruiting processes.
  • Collaborate with partners and local administrative teams to guide candidates through recruitment.
  • Develop and analyze reports on market trends in legal recruiting and retention.
  • Manage the summer associate program, including orientation, training, and evaluation processes.
  • Coordinate law school recruiting efforts and maintain communication with candidates.
  • Prepare and manage the legal recruiting annual budget.
  • Participate in various HR and recruiting committee meetings to make strategic recommendations.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of four years of management-level recruiting experience in a law firm
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under pressure
  • Experience in improving recruitment processes
  • Proficiency in using computers and digital collaboration tools
