Overview

As a Lead AI Engineer at Capital One, you will play a pivotal role in creating responsible AI systems that transform banking experiences. You will be part of the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences team, collaborating with cross-functional groups to develop AI-powered products that enhance customer interactions and streamline associate workflows.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with teams to deliver AI-powered products.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
  • Leverage open source and SaaS AI technologies.
  • Introduce LLM optimization techniques to enhance performance.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and roadmap of AI systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering or related fields.
  • 4+ years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms.
  • Proficiency in programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of AI technologies such as LLM inference, similarity search, and guardrails.
  • Strong foundation in engineering and mathematics.
