Overview

Capital One is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to help create responsible and reliable AI systems that enhance customer experiences in banking. This role involves partnering with a cross-functional team to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered products while leveraging advanced technologies in the field of AI and machine learning.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers, research scientists, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
  • Utilize a wide range of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies.
  • Introduce state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 4+ years of experience with AI and ML algorithms and technologies.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience with deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms like AWS or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with AI technologies such as LLM Inference, Similarity Search, VectorDBs, and Guardrails.
