Overview

As a Lead AI Engineer at Capital One, you will be instrumental in building responsible and reliable AI systems that reshape the banking experience. You will collaborate with a diverse team to design and deploy AI software components and contribute to advanced AI projects aimed at enhancing customer interactions and internal processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components
  • Leverage open-source and SaaS AI technologies
  • Invent and introduce LLM optimization techniques
  • Contribute to the technical vision and roadmap of foundational AI systems

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Scala, or Java
  • Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms
  • Knowledge of AI technologies including LLM Inference, Similarity Search, VectorDBs, Guardrails, Memory
  • Passion for staying updated on AI research
