Job Description

Overview

As a Lead AI Engineer at Capital One, you will drive the creation of responsible AI systems that enhance customer experiences in banking. Working with the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences (IFX) team, you will collaborate with a diverse group of professionals to develop and deploy innovative AI-powered products.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components
  • Leverage a broad stack of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies
  • Invent and introduce LLM optimization techniques for large scale AI systems
  • Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
  • 4+ years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies
  • Programming skills in Python, Go, Scala, or Java
  • Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
  • Knowledge of AI services development and support
  • Experience with state-of-the-art techniques for optimizing training and inference software
