Overview

As a Lead AI Engineer at Capital One, you will play a crucial role in developing responsible AI systems that transform banking experiences. You'll collaborate with a cross-functional team to design and implement AI-powered products, focusing on scalable and high-performance AI infrastructure that directly impacts how customers interact with banking services.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to deliver AI products.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
  • Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies to enhance product capabilities.
  • Invent and optimize LLM techniques for improved AI system performance.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of AI systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • At least 4 years of experience in AI and ML algorithm development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Familiarity with AI technologies including LLM Inference, Similarity Search, and VectorDBs.
