Overview

Capital One is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to join the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences (IFX) team, which focuses on developing responsible AI systems to enhance customer experiences. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products and optimize large-scale AI systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components
  • Partner with engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers
  • Utilize Open Source and SaaS AI technologies
  • Invent and introduce LLM optimization techniques
  • Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap for foundational AI systems

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields
  • 4+ years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, Scala, or Java
  • Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms
  • Knowledge in developing AI services, LLM Inference, Similarity Search, VectorDBs, and optimization techniques
