Overview

As a Lead AI Engineer at Capital One, you will be pivotal in creating responsible AI systems that transform banking. You will work with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and support AI-powered products, utilizing state-of-the-art machine learning technologies to enhance customer interactions and internal operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with engineers, research scientists, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components
  • Leverage a broad stack of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies
  • Introduce LLM optimization techniques to improve AI system performance
  • Contribute to the technical vision and roadmap of foundational AI systems

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
  • 4+ years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies
  • 4+ years of programming experience with Python, Go, Scala, or Java
  • Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms
  • Expertise in LLM Inference, Similarity Search, and VectorDBs development
  • Strong foundation in engineering, mathematics, and hardware/software optimization
