Overview

As a Lead AI Engineer at Capital One, you will help create responsible and reliable AI systems that transform banking. You will work on AI-powered products that enhance customer interactions and improve internal processes, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies in AI and machine learning.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components
  • Leverage a broad stack of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies
  • Invent and introduce state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques
  • Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap for foundational AI systems

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields
  • 4+ years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms
  • Proficiency in programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java
  • Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms
  • Familiarity with AI technologies such as LLM Inference, VectorDBs, and Guardrails
  • Ability to apply novel AI techniques in production
