Overview

As a Lead AI Engineer at Capital One, you will be at the forefront of developing responsible AI systems to transform banking experiences. You will work with a cross-functional team to build and deploy AI-powered products that enhance customer interactions and improve internal processes, leveraging advanced machine learning techniques and cloud technologies.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers, research scientists, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
  • Utilize Open Source and SaaS AI technologies for building AI solutions.
  • Introduce optimization techniques for large-scale production AI systems.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and roadmap of foundational AI systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 4+ years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies.
  • Proficiency in programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Knowledge in designing and supporting AI services and optimizing AI software performance.
