Overview

Quaker Steak & Lube is seeking a dedicated and ambitious Kitchen Manager for its Charleston location. The role involves overseeing all back-of-house operations to ensure quality food preparation, inventory management, and staff training in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise and oversee food preparation and production
  • Oversee proper handling, maintenance, and storage of back-of-house items
  • Manage inventory, food costs, and track waste
  • Control labor costs
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training of back-of-house staff
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of prior management experience in family or casual dining
  • ServSafe Food Manager Certification preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and organization skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, and bend for extended periods
