We are offering a competitive salary with full benefits including a 401K.The technician is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, reconditioning, overhaul and maintenance of customer heavy equipment and/or components. Responsibilities:Able to work out of a service truck in our shop yard and on customer job sitesRepairs heavy equipment engine and componentsAble to read schematics (both electrical and hydraulic)Prepares inspection and appraisal reportsCorrectly charges work to appropriate work order segmentsPrepares accurate and complete service reports and turns in on timeCommunicates effectively with Service Writer, and/or Shop Manager to ensure problems, nature of repair, and status of repairs are understood and followed up onWorks in a cooperative manner with other team members to accomplish the goals of the shop and the companyCleans, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and componentsRemoves, disassembles, assembles, and installs components and partsOrders replacement parts, ensuring that parts orders are correct and complete at the time of orderTests, measures, and adjusts engine and machine systems and componentsDiagnoses and Repairs machine and engine malfunctions and failuresKeeps up to date with developments in tooling, technologies, and systemsUses safe working practices and follows all company safety requirementsRequirements:4+ years of experience in electrical, drive train, engines, hydraulics and computer controlled systems.High School Diploma or GED, with graduation from an accredited technical school in diesel engine or heavy equipment repair preferred.Valid Driver's License and clean driving recordAble to lift up to 40 lbsCapable of communicating effectively and professionally with customersMaintain Valid driver's license with a clean MVR & ability to pass DOT physicalBenefits:Competitive hourly rate; DOEAffordable Medical, Dental, Vision401k Retirement Planning w/ company matchPaid Time Off (PTO)Paid trainingOpportunity for growth and developmentM-F schedule (some OT); paid holidaysPeak Industrial Company is made up of four different businesses that span across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Montana, and Texas.
