Overview

The IP Speech Pathologist at Cox Barton County Hospital is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders in patients. This role involves developing treatment plans based on assessments and collaboration with other professionals.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient assessments
  • Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, or social workers as needed
  • Maintain professional growth through continuing education
  • Work independently with minimal supervision

Required skills

  • Graduate of a Speech Pathology Program
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • At least 5 years of related experience
  • Good clinical expertise
  • Strong communication skills
  • Human relations skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Positive attitude
  • Active Speech Therapy license in Missouri
  • BLS certification within 90 days
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligible
