Overview

The Interim Director of Case Management is responsible for providing strategic oversight for case management operations in a short-term acute care setting in Mobile, Alabama. This role involves leading a team of approximately 24 FTEs and focusing on initiatives such as length of stay reduction and improving physician engagement.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead length of stay reduction initiatives
  • Optimize observation rate performance
  • Drive readmission reduction efforts
  • Strengthen physician engagement
  • Oversee case management operations
  • Report to the Executive Director of Revenue Cycle

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred
  • Active RN license required
  • Progressive case management leadership experience in an acute care hospital
  • Strong acute care case management leadership experience
  • Proven physician engagement skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organized and patient-focused
