Overview

Jobot is seeking an Intellectual Property Patent Partner specializing in Chemical Engineering to join a nationally recognized intellectual property boutique. The firm is known for protecting innovation through a range of patent and intellectual property services and values legal expertise combined with technical knowledge.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage U.S. and international patent portfolios
  • Develop and maintain a portable book of business of at least $600,000
  • Engage in business development and client retention efforts
  • Provide sophisticated counsel on complex intellectual property matters
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams
  • Contribute to the firm’s collaborative culture focused on client success

Required skills

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in a U.S. state bar
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum of 7 years of intellectual property law experience
  • Strong legal writing and communication skills
  • Exceptional analytical and client counseling skills
  • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to work in team-oriented environments
