Overview

Chattanooga College Medical, Dental, & Technical Careers Inc. is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for the Engineering Department. This role focuses on providing quality instruction and academic support to engineering students, promoting student success, retention, and workforce readiness in a dynamic educational environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver course content and facilitate lab activities
  • Assess student learning outcomes
  • Provide instructional support to a diverse population of engineering students
  • Counsel and advise students through individual and group sessions
  • Educate students on institutional resources and expectations
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for compliance
  • Support departmental strategic priorities related to student retention
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance student engagement and success
  • Assist with planning of events such as workshops or career fairs

Required skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem-solving and time management abilities
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and learning management systems
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB, SolidWorks)
  • Bachelor's degree with a Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Preferred Master's degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of four years of experience in the engineering industry
