Overview

Cargill is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician in Akron, OH, to support its operations as a trusted salt supplier. This full-time position involves engaging in various maintenance tasks that contribute to the efficiency and safety of the facility.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility
  • Document all completed work and conditions found using maintenance computer software
  • Install, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair various components and systems, including packaging equipment and conveyors
  • Operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools, hand tools, and pneumatic tools
  • Comprehend mechanical and electrical schematics, blueprints, and operation manuals
  • Operate a forklift
  • Understand and adhere to safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
