Job Description

Overview

Atlas Machine & Supply, Inc. is looking for a skilled and experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join their weekend day shift team in Louisville, Kentucky. The technician will be responsible for the repair and preventive maintenance of the company's machines and equipment, working independently without immediate on-site support.

Key responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs on machinery and equipment
  • Assist with the installation of new, used, or custom equipment
  • Support preventive maintenance programs and equipment upkeep
  • Learn and understand the mechanical, electrical, and programming aspects of machines
  • Follow OSHA and company safety procedures for all maintenance activities
  • Communicate with the Manager to coordinate repair efforts
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5 years' maintenance experience
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Physical ability to lift maximum 50 lbs and perform tasks involving standing, sitting, squatting, twisting, and stooping
