Job Description Job Description MTL Management LLCIndependent Contractor Opportunity - Asphalt Paving & RestorationLocation: Cincinnati, OHProject Type: Asphalt Repair / Restoration / Potential Full OverlayEstimated Work Area: Up to approximately 3,300 sq. ft.MTL Management LLC is seeking an experienced asphalt paving and restoration contractor for an upcoming residential asphalt project in Cincinnati.This is not a basic sealcoating-only job. We are looking for a contractor capable of evaluating existing pavement failure, completing asphalt patch repairs, crack treatment, surface preparation, restoration coating, and potentially completing a full hot-mix asphalt overlay.Project ScopeThe property contains deteriorated asphalt, cracking, previous repairs, worn surface areas, and localized pavement failures.Contractor must be capable of completing the following work as assigned:1. Surface PreparationClean and prepare the complete work area.Remove vegetation, loose aggregate, dirt and debris.Prepare pavement edges and transitions.Identify unstable asphalt requiring repair before coating or paving.2. Crack & Surface RepairClean and treat serviceable asphalt cracks.Properly fill/seal cracks using commercial asphalt repair products.Prepare deteriorated areas for patch installation.3. Asphalt PatchingRepair designated failed asphalt areas.Remove loose or failed pavement where necessary.Install appropriate asphalt patch material.Properly compact repairs.Feather and transition repairs into surrounding pavement.Potential patching may total up to approximately 500 sq. ft.4. Full-Surface Asphalt RestorationContractor should be capable of applying a professional asphalt restoration/seal coating across up to approximately 3,300 sq. ft.The finished surface should have:Properly repaired failed areasTreated cracksClean edgesUniform coating coverageProfessional overall appearanceFull Asphalt Overlay Capability PreferredContractors with the equipment and experience to perform a full asphalt overlay are strongly preferred.Potential overlay scope includes:Surface and edge preparationLocalized failed-area repairsTack/bonding coatApproximately 2-inch hot-mix asphalt overlayMachine installation where appropriateRoller compactionFinished driveway/road transitionsFinal cleanupContractor RequirementsContractor must:Have documented asphalt paving or asphalt restoration experience.Provide photos or examples of completed asphalt projects.Have experience with patching, crack repair and pavement preparation.Understand the difference between sealcoating, resurfacing and asphalt overlay installation.Supply appropriate tools and equipment for the work being accepted.Have reliable transportation.Maintain a clean and professional jobsite.Follow the approved MTL Management LLC scope of work.Communicate immediately if additional pavement or base failure is discovered.Provide completion photos and video documenting finished work.Own paving/asphalt business is highly preferred.Contractor must provide proof of general liability insurance before assignment.ImportantDo not apply if your asphalt experience is limited to applying driveway sealer.We are specifically looking for contractors experienced in pavement repair, asphalt patching, compaction and/or hot-mix asphalt installation.This project may lead to additional asphalt and exterior restoration assignments through MTL Management LLC.
