Job Description

Overview

The ICU Clinical Nurse Coordinator at Methodist Hospital Texsan is responsible for coordinating high-quality, patient-centered care in the Intensive Care Unit. This role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and support for nursing staff to achieve efficient patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to customize and deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Lead inspiringly to foster commitment to the organization’s vision and values.
  • Manage staff scheduling and labor according to patient care needs.
  • Support inventory control and manage supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Report any unsafe conditions and maintain safety equipment usage.
  • Adhere to the MHS Code of Conduct and demonstrate ethical behavior.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree required, BSN preferred)
  • Minimum of 1 year working as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • 3 years of RN experience in an ICU setting preferred
  • Current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse required
