Overview

The Human Resource Manager at Rise Baking Company will provide tactical and strategic HR solutions to support the company's growth and drive employee engagement. The role involves collaborating with plant leadership, managing HR support staff, and ensuring compliance with employment laws while promoting a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

  • Participate as an active member of the plant leadership and HR team
  • Manage plant HR support staff
  • Partner with plant management on people-related issues
  • Investigate employee concerns and recommend actions to resolve them
  • Develop leaders through coaching and training
  • Promote effective recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Recommend procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover
  • Create and execute communication plans related to employee engagement and policies
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
  • Oversee workers' compensation and leave of absence compliance
  • Administer performance review programs aligned with company values
  • Conduct annual equity audits and update job descriptions
  • Manage the Human Resources budget
  • Support food safety programs and quality standards

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in human resource management
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
  • Experience within fast-growing manufacturing companies
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment regulations
  • Working knowledge of HRIS
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office
  • ADP skills preferred
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Organizational and analytical skills
  • Conflict resolution and negotiating skills
  • Cultural competency
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
