Overview

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking married couples to join their team as Full-time Flex Houseparents in Hershey, PA. This unique role involves residing in on-campus homes and providing care, guidance, and support to a small group of students, helping them develop academically, emotionally, and socially.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students
  • Manage household routines and student schedules
  • Administer medications and ensure student wellness
  • Drive students to activities and engage in developmental and recreational activities
  • Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel
  • Oversee budgeting and household reporting

Required skills

  • Experience working or volunteering with youth
  • Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
  • Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
  • Comfort leading students in daily devotions
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
