Overview

Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to take on the role of Full-time Flex Houseparents in Hershey, PA. This vital position involves residing in on-campus student homes, providing care and guidance to groups of 8-13 students, and playing a key role in their academic and emotional development.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students
  • Manage household routines and student schedules
  • Administer medications and ensure student wellness
  • Drive students to activities and engage in developmental and recreational activities
  • Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel
  • Oversee budgeting and household reporting

Required skills

  • Experience working or volunteering with youth
  • Strong household management skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to drive student home vans
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
  • Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
