Overview

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents in Hershey, PA. Houseparents will live on campus and be responsible for the care, guidance, and supervision of a small group of students, fostering their academic, emotional, and social development in a structured, family-like environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students
  • Manage household routines and student schedules
  • Administer medications and ensure student wellness
  • Drive students to activities and plan developmental and recreational activities
  • Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel
  • Oversee budgeting and household reporting

Required skills

  • Experience working or volunteering with youth
  • Ability to lead in daily devotions and attend Judeo-Christian services
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to drive student home vans
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Integrity and professionalism in a role model capacity
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
