Overview

BAS Healthcare is seeking a full-time locum Hospitalist Physician to provide coverage in Dillon, South Carolina starting in Spring 2026. This role offers a manageable census in a rural hospital setting, with a 7-on/7-off schedule and support for onsite call accommodations.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide hospitalist coverage with a 7-on/7-off schedule
  • Handle all ED admissions and floor calls during alternating 24-hour call every other day/night
  • Manage an average daily census of 21 patients
  • Read EKGs and perform stress tests as required
  • Work collaboratively with 2 hospitalists on duty

Required skills

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine
  • Active South Carolina Medical License
  • Active Controlled Substance Registration (CSR)
  • DEA eligible for permanent registration in South Carolina
  • Experience with Epic EMR
  • Ability to perform medical procedures preferred but not required
