Overview

ATC West Healthcare Services is looking for a Locum OB/GYN Hospitalist to provide 24-hour in-house coverage for obstetric patients, with a focus on inpatient care and emergent deliveries. This role will involve working independently in a high-acuity hospital environment alongside on-call MFM support, and includes no gynecologic responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide 24-hour in-house coverage for obstetric patients
  • Handle emergent obstetric cases including vaginal deliveries and C-sections
  • Support Iowa's only maternity transport team
  • Work independently with on-call MFM support
  • Manage OBED patients in a high-acuity setting

Required skills

  • Board Certified in OB/GYN (board-eligible candidates considered)
  • Active Iowa medical license or active IMLC
  • Ability to start ASAP
  • Clean malpractice and background history
  • Self-Query NPDB required at submission
