Overview

Palm Careers LLC is seeking an Advance Practice Hospital Medicine Provider (NP/PA-C Hospitalist) to join their respected Cancer Center in Atlanta. This role focuses on managing inpatient acute and chronic medical conditions under the supervision of a physician, with an emphasis on comprehensive patient care and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage acute and chronic medical conditions for hospitalized patients.
  • Record patient medical history and perform physical assessments.
  • Develop and implement therapeutic care plans.
  • Order diagnostic tests and interpret test results.
  • Facilitate discharge planning and ensure accurate medical record documentation.
  • Educate patients about procedures, pharmacology, and self-management of side effects.
  • Provide symptom management for treatment-related toxicities.
  • Communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and referring physicians.
  • Participate in continuing education programs and maintain professional development.

Required skills

  • Board certification
  • MSN or Master's in PA-C studies
  • Experience in Hospital Medicine and oncology preferred
