Overview

WhiteCoat Locums is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with experience in palliative care to provide locum coverage in Cumberland, Maryland. The role focuses on inpatient care with a consistent Monday to Friday schedule, providing an opportunity to manage palliative care patients and respond to consults without weekend or call requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Round on inpatients on the Palliative Care provider list
  • Respond to new consults requested by hospital medicine
  • Manage an average of 3-5 admissions per day
  • Work independently while on site
  • Be available by telephone/pager during shifts

Required skills

  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in palliative care
  • Active Maryland State License (can accept candidates needing to obtain one)
  • BLS, DEA, and CSR licenses required
  • Experience with Epic EMR
