Overview

Match Education is seeking a High School Special Education Teacher to join their diverse and inclusive charter public school in Boston. This role involves co-teaching and supporting high school students with disabilities, ensuring they receive the necessary support to succeed academically.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide inclusion support and instruction in regular education classes with IEP students
  • Manage a caseload of Special Education students
  • Assist in the management of the school's Special Education programming
  • Complete necessary paperwork and filing related to special education
  • Participate in coaching and professional development programming
  • Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations for students
  • Collaborate with team members and support school programming during non-instructional time

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least two years of experience as a classroom or special education teacher
  • Valid Special Education license issued by Massachusetts or ability to obtain it
