Overview

Match Education is seeking a High School ESL Teacher to support multilingual learners in their journey to academic success. The teacher will be part of a diverse school community and will play a vital role in promoting language acquisition and compliance with educational standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide co-teaching, instructional, and inclusion support in general education classes for multilingual learners
  • Deliver targeted language interventions to multilingual students in small groups
  • Utilize formative assessments to drive instruction and achieve language acquisition goals
  • Manage language acquisition programming including paperwork, teacher development, and compliance requirements
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
  • Teach staff about language development and best practices
  • Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations for students
  • Participate in professional development programming
  • Assist with school programming during non-instructional time
  • Serve as a positive and collaborative community member

Required skills

  • At least two years of full-time experience as an ESL, classroom, or special education teacher
  • Valid ESL license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
  • Experience in urban education settings
  • Commitment to student success and improvement
  • Ability to implement feedback for personal development
  • Proven record of student success and achievement
