Overview

Blooming Glen Quarry, a division of H&K Group, Inc., is seeking a Groundperson to assist with production and maintenance tasks, ensuring quarry cleanliness and operating equipment as needed. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Maintain clean work areas including catwalks and general plant area
  • Learn plant functions and operations proactively
  • Take direction from and work collaboratively with site personnel
  • Cross train to learn all jobs of the plant
  • Perform plant maintenance and other assigned duties

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Ability to utilize appropriate PPE
  • Physical ability to meet job demands
  • 3+ months related experience preferred
  • Experience operating heavy equipment preferred
  • Experience in a quarry or outdoor industrial setting preferred
  • MSHA or other relevant safety certification preferred
