Job Description

Overview

Northwell Health is seeking a full-time Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their Digestive Health Institute in Danbury, Connecticut. The ideal candidate will provide care in both outpatient and hospital settings, working Monday through Friday with no on-call duties, and will be part of a large Medical Group serving the region.

Key responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients in gastroenterology
  • Provide patient care in outpatient office and hospital settings
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain detailed patient records
  • Participate in continuous medical education

Required skills

  • Board certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • Experience in Internal Medicine and/or Gastroenterology
  • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • New York State Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license
  • Federal DEA certification
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working with hepatobiliary services
