Job Description

Overview

Principal Electric, Corp. is seeking a Non-Working Foreman to lead field operations for their electrical contracting projects focused on luxury residential and high-end commercial installations. The role will involve overseeing the workforce, ensuring safety standards, and serving as the main link between the crew and project management.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily workforce assignments and ensure adequate manpower is available to meet project schedules
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements with field crews prior to the start of work
  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment needs, and site logistics to ensure uninterrupted workflow
  • Track labor production and provide daily progress updates to project management
  • Identify field conflicts, change conditions, and schedule impacts, and communicate them for resolution
  • Enforce company safety policies and conduct routine safety inspections
  • Coordinate work activities with general contractors, owners, inspectors, utility companies, and other trades

Required skills

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the electrical industry
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and safety protocols
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel throughout NYC, Westchester County, and New Jersey
  • OSHA 10 + OSHA 30 Certification
  • New Jersey Electrical License preferred
  • Ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, work on lifts, and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying jobsite and weather conditions
