Description: Kitchen Shift Managers are responsible for providing leadership and supervision during assigned shifts to ensure safe, efficient, and mission-driven food service for campers, volunteers, and staff. Working under the direction of the Food Services Manager, Kitchen Shift Managers lead Food Services Assistants, support meal preparation and service, and uphold all food safety standards.Responsibilities:Supervise Food Services Assistants during assigned shifts to ensure tasks are completed efficientlyAt the direction of the Food Services Manager, prepare and cook meals according to established menus and dietary guidelinesEnsure food is prepared, served, and stored in compliance with all health and safety regulationsTrain, coach, and support Food Services Assistants and volunteers in best practices for kitchen and dining hall tasksCollaborate with the Food Services Manager to maintain inventory and suppliesUphold kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout shiftsServe as the point person for the kitchen when the Food Services Manager is not presentModel professionalism, dedication, and teamwork in a camp setting Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or olderMinimum 2 years of comparable high-volume cooking experienceServSafe Food Handler CertificationStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to lead a team, delegate responsibilities, and hold others accountableAbility to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.Previous experience in food service or kitchen leadership (Preferred)Expectations & Requirements for all Flying Horse Farms Staff:We live our Values.
