Overview

As a Food Production team member at Butterball, you'll be responsible for transferring live turkeys onto the processing line while adhering to strict food safety and animal welfare standards. This entry-level role requires no prior experience and offers opportunities for personal and professional growth in a supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Transfer live birds from holding zone onto shackles on a processing line
  • Perform repetitive tasks without assistance of tools
  • Adhere to animal care, safety, and food safety standards
  • Follow all GMP and HACCP procedures related to product safety
  • Support all food safety initiatives

Required skills

  • Ability to work independently and in groups
  • Effective planning and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of HACCP, FDA, and OSHA requirements
  • Self-directed with ability to promote a safe work environment
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing (preferred)
