Overview

Plasser American Corp is seeking a Fluid Power Engineer to support their engineering group, focusing on designing, testing, and troubleshooting mobile hydraulic systems for the railway industry. The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge in fluid power principles, mobile construction equipment design, and the ability to apply engineering concepts in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, test, and troubleshoot operational mobile hydraulic systems and applications.
  • Apply engineering principles to design products for maintenance of way equipment.
  • Analyze customer specifications and create work orders.
  • Compile and analyze test data to establish performance standards.
  • Plan and coordinate hydraulic/pneumatic projects to meet deadlines.
  • Supervise design and drafting of hydraulic/pneumatic components.
  • Interact with multiple departments to provide support.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field
  • 2-5 years of experience in mobile hydraulic design
  • Fluid power system design experience
  • Proficiency in EPLAN Fluid and CAD design tools
  • Knowledge of ISO and ANSI standards
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities
