Overview

Blue Peak Tents Inc. is seeking a Fleet Technician in Batavia, Illinois, to transport and maintain event equipment like restroom trailers and generators. This role is ideal for a CDL driver looking to expand their skills in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting while supporting a growing event infrastructure company.

Key responsibilities

  • Transport restroom trailers, generators, and HVAC units to event sites
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all runs
  • Coordinate with on-site contacts and communicate status updates
  • Inspect and report any damage or issues with equipment
  • Assist with restroom trailer prep and generator maintenance in the warehouse
  • Support equipment staging, cleaning, and organization as needed
  • Use SOPs to diagnose and resolve common equipment issues at sites
  • Document field issues and resolutions

Required skills

  • Valid CDL (Class A, B, or C) with a clean driving record
  • Experience operating commercial vehicles and towing trailers
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • Willingness to learn equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand tools
  • Background in events, rental, construction, or logistics
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is helpful but not required
