Overview

Golden Apple Transportation is a small, privately owned transportation company in Boca Raton, Florida, with over 10 years of experience serving schools and various clients. They are seeking a reliable Fleet Maintenance Technician and School Driver to ensure safe student transportation while performing hands-on maintenance tasks for the fleet.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely transport students to and from school and activities
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Maintain professional communication with students, parents, and staff
  • Follow safety regulations
  • Perform light maintenance and inspections on school buses and fleet vehicles using a Sprinter van
  • Wash buses and maintain proper fluid levels
  • Bleed air tanks, check and adjust tire pressures, and perform minor repairs
  • Inspect buses for safety hazards and compliance
  • Refill DEF in diesel buses and stock required supplies
  • Report maintenance issues and safety concerns to management
  • Assist with additional assignments as directed by management

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus and Passenger endorsements
  • Experience in basic automotive or diesel maintenance
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
  • English language proficiency

What the company offers

  • $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
