Candidate Profile JD from an ABA-accredited law school with an excellent academic recordActive Bar Admission in Texas, in good standing35 years of substantive litigation experience at an AmLaw 100 firm or similarly sophisticated law firm preferredExperience with financial services or restructuring-related litigationDemonstrated ability to manage all phases of complex litigation, including drafting legal documents, conducting discovery and depositions, preparing for trial, and participating in motions practice Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines, filings, client communications, and multiple competing priorities Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detailStrong communication and advocacy abilities, both written and oralProven capacity to work collaboratively across offices and disciplines in a fast-paced environment Key Responsibilities Represent clients in financial, commercial, and restructuring-related litigation in federal and state courts and arbitration forums Manage complex litigation matters from pre-suit investigation through trial and post-trial proceedings Develop and execute case strategies, including discovery planning and implementation Draft, argue, and respond to motions, briefs, memoranda, and other substantive court filings Take and defend fact and expert witness depositions Conduct sophisticated legal research and draft complex motions, briefs, and memoranda Attend court appearances, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, client meetings, and trial proceedings Collaborate closely with partners and clients to develop and execute case strategy
