Overview

Bicycle Transit Systems Inc is seeking a Field Technician for its BCycle Madison operation. This full-time role involves serving as the public face of the bike share system, providing customer service, and performing maintenance and operational tasks related to electric bikes and stations. The position emphasizes teamwork, problem-solving, and building positive relationships in the community.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct electric bike battery swapping
  • Balance the bike system by moving e-bikes as needed
  • Provide customer service and interact with the public
  • Drive a Ford Transit or equivalent van for daily tasks
  • Perform inspections, basic repairs, and maintenance on bikes
  • Maintain stations through troubleshooting, part replacement, and cleaning
  • Collect and enter data as required
  • Collaborate with Field Operations teams for effective workflows
  • Assist with events by prepping e-bikes and setting up/tearing down
  • Adapt to changing roles and responsibilities as necessary

Required skills

  • Valid driver license and clean driving record
  • High school diploma or GED
