Overview

The Field Service Representative - Power Distribution is responsible for the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of customer equipment. This role involves providing technical support and training to customers while maintaining strong relationships through quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Accountable for installation, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of customer equipment
  • Provides documentation such as test reports and service summaries to customers
  • Instructs customers on equipment operation and maintenance
  • Performs warranty work and provides start-up service
  • Constructs and tests circuits and equipment using various tools and machines
  • Analyzes complex problems in equipment and machinery
  • Consults with product support and engineering to solve complex operational issues
  • Implements design modifications and provides installation support
  • Develops and implements training courseware for customers
  • Maintains ongoing customer relationships regarding equipment repair and maintenance
  • Maintains service equipment, tools, and documentation

Required skills

  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in electrical start-up and testing of circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, VFDs, PLCs, and capacitor b
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and service documents
  • Basic auditing skills of electrical systems and equipment
