Overview

The Provider Finder is seeking a Family Practice/Primary Care Physician Assistant to join their healthcare team in Hagerstown, Maryland. This role involves supporting physicians in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients, particularly those with neurological conditions, through a combination of outpatient and inpatient care.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct patient evaluations and take medical histories
  • Perform neurological assessments under physician supervision
  • Assist in diagnosing and managing acute and chronic neurological conditions
  • Participate in inpatient consultations and follow-up care
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff for quality care
  • Document encounters and treatments in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Educate patients and families about treatment plans and medications

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current Maryland PA license or eligibility to obtain
  • Bilingual Spanish-speaking preferred
  • Neurology experience valued or strong candidates from top-tier PA programs
  • Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
