Overview

The Provider Finder is seeking a Family Practice/Primary Care Physician Assistant (PA) to join their medical team in Hagerstown, Maryland. The PA will support physicians in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with neurological and related conditions, working primarily in outpatient and inpatient settings.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct patient evaluations and take medical histories
  • Perform neurological assessments under physician supervision
  • Assist in diagnosing and managing acute and chronic neurological conditions
  • Participate in inpatient consultations and follow-up care
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff
  • Document encounters and treatments accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and follow-up care

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current Maryland PA license or eligibility to obtain
  • Bilingual Spanish-speaking (preferred)
  • Neurology experience (highly valued)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
